Earthy, warm, neutral, blush and bisque tones- inspired by dry desert, iron oxide, rusted minerals and sandy plains. Kirar’s original artwork was utilized to create many of these designs. Some of her favorites are: “Ceiba Tree”, inspired by the sacred tree of the Maya, this woven pattern of branch, leaf and pod is a rich combination of crème, brown and gold in both loop and cut velvet. Another weave, “Dusk Stripe”, takes cues from both awning stripes and men’s Italian suiting, and evokes the horizon at sunset if it were made of wool. For prints, the lively “Peacock,” in crème, chocolate and soft grey, poses, prances and croons across the large repeat.
