Caring for Your Furniture

Dust settles on upholstered furniture just as on hard surfaces, and should be removed weekly with the upholstery tools supplied with your vacum cleaner. If you do not have a vacum cleaner, a clean brush will remove some dust.

Armrest and headrest covers should be considered as once these areas stain, it may be impossible to clean completely. Armrest covers also work to prevent the arms being the first area of the furniture to wear.

Always attend to marks and stains as soon as they occurs as once many stains set, they cannot be removed.

Keep upholstery as dry as possible when removing stains, and dry the area as quickly as possible so as to reduce the risk of a tidemark appearing.

Have your furniture cleaned professionally at least once a year to prevent soil and particulate build-up from permanently damaging the fabric.
Avoid the following conditions:

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight |

Avoid any direct heat source (ie radiator or heater) |

Avoid sharp objects such as buckles, jewellery, keys, pet claws etc |

Avoid common cleaning materials, paints, solvents, nail polish, dyes, felt pens, dyed cloths, perspiration, grime, body oils, hair creams and gels. |
