Your leather furniture will greatly benefit from some very simple routine care and cleaning.
-
Don't expose your furniture to direct sun for long periods.
-
Avoid direct heat from fires and radiators as this can dry out and distort the leather.
-
Vacumn regularly with a suitable brush attachment to remove dust, grit, crumbs etc. If these are left, they will abrade the surface.
-
Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth once a week to pick up surface dust, dirt and oils.
-
Avoid leaving marks - always treat an entire surface (not just one spot or mark) evenly and lightly using the palm of your hand. Never rub hard or use just one finger as this will remove colour.
-
Always allow to dry naturally as direct heat or the use of a hair dryer/heat gun will cause the leather to dry out and distort.
-
Nourishing treatments and protectors should be generally applied only once or twice a year, depending on the amount of wear your furniture receives.
